News: IoT Member Spotlight – GrahamSpencer

IoT Member Spotlight – GrahamSpencer

Q: Name of group/person/start-up
A: Sean McClure, GrahamSpencer
GrahamSpencer is a full service agency with a focus on branding and strategic communications. We’ve been around since 1987. We help clients in all sorts of industries, with a niche focus on technology. We focus on everything from finance to manufacturing, working with cities, bureaus, organizations, city tourism, and economic development.

Q: How long have you been working at the Connectory?
A: More than a year
Q: What are you working on?
A: What’s relevant to us about working in this space is not on a specific project basis. Our goal is to be a resource for all of the member companies within the Connectory. Startups are in an industry that isn’t necessarily fully understood with their innovative products and a story to tell that requires expertise in order to do it. Besides being a resource for them, we are also a resource for the Connectory itself with one notable project: Connexion IoT.

Also, GrahamSpencer recently won a GOLD Award for the Connexion IoT creative campaign at the ADDY’s! The ADDY awards are hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) on an annual basis and recognize the “creme de la crème” of creative work, judged by industry experts for categories like best campaignbest branding, design, website, video, print, etc. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and our collaboration with the Chicago Connectory.

Q: Why do you work at the Connectory? What are its benefits for you?
A: It offers a really great location in the heart of Chicago at a place people can actually connect, which is a big part of IoT. Second, the IoT space is growing tremendously, and GrahamSpencer is an agency that has always learned from, and helped people engage with the latest and greatest industries, trends and ways to communicate their business. It is a symbiotic relationship. We get as much out of the Connectory while being integrated with great minds at the cutting edge of technology, and we feed that back as a resource when looking at communications, branding, film, advertising, marketing, web development, etc.

Q: Do you have a website? Twitter? LinkedIn? Somewhere where we can learn more about you and your company?

Q: Random, fun question: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A: I would be a dolphin because they are super smart, super fast and are always traveling in groups, jumping and running behind boats. They are always having a good time.
