The Momentum Awards are an annual celebration hosted by 1871 and the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center. It is the city’s most anticipated digital technology event of the year and celebrates Chicago’s extraordinary entrepreneurial community.
The Momentum Award recognizes companies that are on track to become the next great companies to emerge in Chicago. The Rising Star Award, in particular, is for newer startups that have shown a potential to grow into industry leaders and an ability to succeed in their field already.
This year, Chicago Connectory member, Proxfinity, is one of four finalists nominated for the Momentum Rising Star Award. Proxfinity started with a mission of enhancing social interactions and fundamentally changing the way people use technology to connect. To achieve this mission, they created a technology that emphasizes in-person connections, enhances face-to-face communications, and gets people talking again. Their platform of wearable products also advances their mission by visually connecting people based on proximity and affinity.
They work with CMO’s, HR executives, innovation teams and corporate meeting planners to deliver real-time face-to-face interaction and metrics to drive informed decision making, new insights on human capital decisions and the ability to close the engagement gap.
Good luck to the Proxfinity team! The winners for the Momentum Rising Star Award and the Momentum Award will be announced at the 12th Annual Momentum Awards on September 19th.
